Formation Battle is a real-time strategy prototype that drops you straight into the heart of medieval combat. Designed for quick and intense tactical experimentation, this web game allows players to command their own platoon of soldiers and face off in tightly-paced 5v5 formation clashes. Each match is a test of awareness, positioning, and split-second decision-making.

Inspired by the tactical depth of Total War, Formation Battle puts you in direct control of your troops. Whether flanking with fast cavalry or holding the line with heavy infantry, you must read the battlefield and adapt — not just react. Every unit responds in real time, keeping you fully engaged and in command.

The game features seven distinct unit types, each with unique strengths and weaknesses:

  • Archer – Long-range bowmen who deal consistent damage from afar but crumble in melee.

  • Skirmisher – Fast, lightly armored ranged troops that hurl javelins at close range; deadly burst damage but very fragile.

  • Light Infantry – Nimble melee fighters ideal for flanking and chasing down isolated enemies.

  • Heavy Infantry – Heavily armored and slow, built to anchor your front line and soak up damage.

  • Spearman – Defensive units with large shields; excellent at blocking charges and countering cavalry.

  • Swordsman – Aggressive melee units with high attack strength but no shield; ideal for breaking enemy formations.

  • Cavalry – Mobile shock troops capable of swift flanks and devastating charges — but vulnerable to spears.

At this stage, Formation Battle is a single-player prototype, focused on tactical gameplay without progression systems or campaigns. However, it is actively in development. Future updates will allow for unit composition customization, battlefield configuration, and more varied AI challenges — paving the way for a broader strategy experience.
